Danny Goes to the Fair
Last week I took little Chase to the Coweta Fair and had a grand ole' time! We started out at the petting zoo and got to pet a lot of furry things. Then we went on and checked out all the ultra safe and sturdy rides. Speaking of which...I don't see how people are afraid of these rides. I mean, yes, they put them up in about 10 minutes, and yes, they use slightly un-educated people to do it, but gosh, they do it all the time... so they should be safe right?? Anyway, we finished up our day by spending $2,489 trying to win Chase a bear, but by golly, we got one! The fair is good stuff.

Arrest Logs & Other News
Are you mad at someone?? Well 19 year old Kendra has a not so great idea for solving problems. The Newnan resident was arrested for stabbing a girl with a kitchen fork when they got in a little fight.

Not enough violence for you?? Well in another story, a man was arrested when he was seen holding a guy down on his sofa and punching him. How does a "passer-byer" see someone hitting someone else on a sofa you ask?? Well, the sofa just happened to be sitting on their front porch. To be honest, I don't know what was more torture for the victim.. getting punched, or being held down on a sofa that has been rotting outside for who knows how long.

Have you been hit by a Train recently?? Well you aren't alone! Apparently Coweta County is top 10 in the state for RailRoad crashes. The newspaper was concerned with these numbers, so they posted a list of "what to do if your car breaks down on a railroad track". Among the top things to do was stop driving a piece of sh** car.

Cynthia King from the Gwinnett Gladiators
No, she doesn't play on the team, but she is the Gladiator's representative and she sure is fun! She got us all pumped up for the NEW SEASON starting October 20th! If you didn't see the segment, you wouldn't know that the Noonan Now show and the Gwinnett Gladiators have teamed up! I'll be reporting on stuff throughout the season, holding interviews with the players and a bunch more so for gosh sakes, go out to the games, and stay tuned to the Noonan Now show for updates! GI Joe Just Didn't Have Enough

Webdesigner on Strike
Ok, so my webdesigner went on a temporary strike because I wasn't paying her enough... Just kidding, that's not true. I pay her exceptionally well. The truth is she was swamped with REAL work, so she had to take a little break... but now she's back in action, so be sure to check out our past 2 weeks of shows cause it's some GOOD STUFF. Consignment Sale for Kids
Alison, I'm sorry... we didn't get a chance to put up the info about the Kids Consignment Sale in time.. but we would love for yall to take a minute and watch the clip so you can be prepared for the next time it comes around! It is put on by the First United Methodist Church and was held last weekend in Parrish Hall. It went awesome and there were a TON of great baby and kid stuff for unbelievable prices. If you want brand names for your kids, but don't want to spend the $$, check out the next Kid Consignment Sale which benefits the First United Methodist Church Pre-School.

The Moment We've All Been Waiting For
I know, I know, you have all been so excited to see who wins the Miss Noonan Now Pageant... well you had 2 full weeks of seeing the whole sha'bang. Krista and Lindsey fought to the death and we got to see some behind the scene clips of the girls hangin out and having a gay ole' time. The pageant was a true crowd pleaser and we would like to thank all of you who could make it out! The 1st Noonan Now Show
Yeah, ok, laugh at me, make fun all you want. I'll admit, I had a little bit of camera shyness on my first Noonan Now Show. But look how far we've come! I have better ties, my desk is filled with more crap, and I don't quite look like a talking corpse anymore. I know this may have shattered many of your thoughts of my perfection... but hey, a guy's gotta start somewhere right? We are just so proud that in a year in a half we have skyrocketed from 2 viewers (thanks Dad and Lora) to 14! That's quite an accomplishment! Anyway, I show clips of my show in segment 1 and 4 so be sure to check those out!

Miss Noonan Now Meet & Greet
Yeee-Haw.. it's going to be a great time at the Miss Noonan Now Meet & Greet! The contestants will be mixing and mingling with you common folk trying to get YOUR vote, so show up and see what these girls are really all about!

The theme is "Cowboys & Cowgirls Saddling up for a Roping good time at Locos Deli and Dude Ranch" Ok, so that's not the official title, but the idea is to dress in Cowboy and Cowgirl type stuff... If you need some help I've put a suggested outfit for the Ladies. Gentlemen, bluejeans will suffice.

Loren "Bubba" Yarbrough and his competitor Larry "The Legend" will be entertaining us with a little eating competition. For those of you that didn't read last weeks review (*ahem*) Loren is ranked 14th in the world for competitive eating and Larry is ranked 25th in the world. That's some serious eating!! They will be downing some Krystal burgers and "applejuice". You seriously don't want to miss out on this!

We will also have our brand spankin new Noonan Now t-shirts, so you'll definitely want to pick one of those up. Oh, and my favorite band - Honky Tonk Deluxe - will be performing so you can hoedown till the bee... I mean coke runs out! Come early to get some grub - we can't wait to see ya there!

3rd Annual Golf Tournament
Pam Burrus - web designer extraordinaire - came on today to talk about the Pageant, Meet and Greet, and this charity golf tournament coming up! It's the Children's Fund 3rd annual golf tournament to benefit St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. The tournament is October 8th at Orchard Hills Golf Club. Registration is at 12:30 with a 2:00 shotgun start. You can find out more information by visiting www.thechildrensfund.org. Arrest Logs
Just in case you didn't pick up on how classy I think Walmart truly is... Officer Reginald Wimbush of the Newnan Police Department was dispatched to Wal-Mart on Bullsboro Drive in reference to a stalking case around 9:40pm. A girl reported that someone followed her as she shopped and while she was waiting in the checkout line, the offender leaned forward in an attempt to take pictures of her under her skirt with his cell phone. He would then check the phone to see if the photo was clear... After the girl and a witness informed Wal-Mart security about the incident, the three located the guy and he was arrested for a misdemeanor of stalking. All I have to say is he must have been hard up for some booty if he has to take pictures with his camera phone... ever heard of the internet buddy??

And if camera porn wasn't bad enough... Officers from the Newnan PD busted a bunch of underage drinkers at a party on Park View Drive. They were first alerted to some loud music around 12:45am and when the got there they observed a handwritten sign on the front door that said to go to the basement in back. When they went back there, the met a large group of people who all appeared to be under 21. Officers were granted permission to enter the house and dispatched EMS to the residence to test two subjects for alcohol poisoning. The homeowner (age 58) was found "asleep" and intoxicated in an upstairs bedroom of the residence. He denied knowing the minors were drinking but was arrested for keeping a disorderly house. That part sucked, but that was one of the most kick @$$ parties I've ever been to!

Ok, so I have a foul mouth today big #%$^*^$ deal. This is a pretty funny show though, so you gotta check it out!

Miss Noonan Now Meet & Greet
We finally have a date for the Miss Noonan Now Meet & Greet! It will be held at Locos on August 18th from 8-10pm. Come early and stay late, eat tons of food, drink lots of..."soda".... and meet the contestants for the Miss Noonan Now pageant! It is going to be a TON of fun, and the place is going to fill up fast, so we recommend you make plans to attend and come early to stake your claim on your spot for the evening. Please be courteous to the waiters and waitresses though, when you are done eating, get your sorry @$$ away from the table and let them serve someone else. I mean $@^$ they have to make a living too!

Other News Thrown Together
Cannongate officially purchased Summergrove, so now what 'cha need to do is go down there and get yourself a PHAT membership. There are now 17 different courses in the Cannongate package, so you will be SERIOUSLY hooked up on golf!

Blame It On The (no) Rain
Alright folks, someone has been spending a bit too long in the showers... someone has been washing one too many cars... someone has been watering a few too many flowers.... someone has been stealing a bit too much water (ahem Greg Lewis??)... so thanks to all you folks (and the fact that we've had NO RAIN) Coweta County is now on a #%$^*^$ WATER RESTRICTION. As promised we have the official rules for watering here on the Noonan Now site.

Watering Rules:
Coweta residents can water only one day a week — even-numbered addresses between midnight and 10 a.m. Saturdays, odd-numbered addresses during the same hours Sundays.
So basically, all of our plants are going to die a miserable death. #%$^*^$ great.

Danny's Horrible Nightmare
So some of you folks may remember the Alex McRae show a while back.... I know, I know, he was #%$^*^$ amazing, he was soooo talented... whatever. This is Danny Beck's world now! I'm on TV, this is my show, I'm good, so quit #%$^*^$ comparing me to him! I had this horrible dream he took over Noonan Now... and ... well... You'll just have to watch this segment.

Ebo Elder on the Contender
The much anticipated season two of ESPN’s "The Contender" is on now and joining them this year in the fight for the title is Newnan's own Ebo Elder. This season, 16 hopefuls in the Welterweight Division will square off in elimination style battle with the winner moving closer to the grand prize of $1,000,000

Ebo Elder (22-2, 14 KOs) is a 27 year old southpaw from Atlanta GA. He has by far the best ring experience of anyone in this group of fighters. He has beaten the likes of Oscar Diaz, Coutney Burton & Emmanuel Clottey. He held a number of titles at Lightweight & Light Welterweight. Elder has an aggressive, crowd pleasing style which has earned him the nickname the “X-Treme Machine”.  He was crushed by Lakva Sim in his last match, hitting the deck 6 times, and finally going down for the count in the 12th. Elder moonlights as a musician.

EAT THIS Loren Yarbrough!
Yeah that's right! Noonan Now is proud to announce that Loren Yarbrough, ranked 14th in the world for competitive eating, will be appearing on the Noonan Now show very soon!

Also known as "Bubba", Loren broke onto the competitive eating scene in 2005 and competed in numerous events from hot dogs to grilled cheese and waffles to ribs. Traveling the country with his best friend and fellow competitor Larry "The Legend," Bubba is constantly working to improve his technique and earn a coveted title. He has put up some impressive numbers including 19 grilled cheese sandwiches in 10 minutes, 18 Nathan's hot dogs in 12 minutes and 30 Krystals in 8 minutes.

Yeah, We Made Front Page Baby!
Ok, so maybe we paid for front page, but the point is we are on the very first page of the Coweta Shopper!! You should have received it on Wednesday... everyone in Coweta gets one, so if yours is missing you may want to check your trash can, or in the laundry room where your puppy is toilet training. Pull that sucker out, go to the website (oh wait, you are already here) and vote for your favorite Miss Noonan Now! The videos are up, pictures are up, a little about the girls is listed, so pick your favorite and vote!

Morgan's Jewelers Gots Bling!
Mr. Jeff Morgan came to the Noonan Now show today to give us the low-down on his store - Morgan's Jewelers. They have been conveniently located on the square for 45 years and have another store in Ashley Park. They carry all sorts of jewelry, watches, diamonds, earrings, and if they don't have it, they can get it! So if you want to get your woman somethin' pretty, or you want to give your man some "bling bling"... come check them out! Their number is 770-253-2720.

Jeff also threw in that he has a boat for sale. Him and his fishin buddy won it in a fishing competition, it's brand spankin' new, never had gas in it, and it's for sale! So if you need a boat, you can call him at the store to talk prices and stuff.

Spa Busted for Prostitution:
Everyone loves a "happy ending"... well, that's not the type of "happy ending" the Osaka Spa and Sauna in Newnan was giving. One woman was charged with prostitution, and the city has now cited the business for being a nuisance. It was first raided June 30; then it was hit again for prostitution July 7. Officer Dean Smith, stated they were violating an ordinenace which prohibits adult entertainment businesses from causing a nuisance. Well, I'm glad to know that it was implied it would have been ok if it wasn't a nuisance...

The owners of the spa never asked the City Council to operate an adult entertainment business, and on the business license it says that it's a "spa." "Recent evidence suggests otherwise," said Smith. Oh well, I guess my gift certificate is not good anymore...

Highschool Vandal
Bryan Paul Hyatt, 19, is charged with three counts of felony second degree criminal damage to property and underage consumption of alcohol. There are three more charges pending that involve the vandalism of a dump truck and vending machines. Hyatt is being held in the Coweta County Jail without bond, because of the fact he was out on bond already when he was arrested Sunday. It's still unclear what prompted the solo rampage through the school, said Roughton. When a neighbor of the school reported hearing glass breaking just before 2 a.m. Sunday, approximately 20 officers set up a perimeter around the school. Hyatt was caught at 2:35 a.m. attempting to slip out of the east side of the school. When first apprehended, Hyatt said he was with five other people, said Roughton, but the school's surveillance video shows only Hyatt. Great, so he's not only a Vandal, but he's a liar too.

Horray for (*^!&#@$) Wal-mart
We are still just absolutely pumped about our new walmart coming to the Newnan area. I just can't think of a better store to put in the area to really crap it out. I am especially looking forward to the increased traffic and the quality people it will attract, not to mention all the great little shops in town that will suffer from their "everyday low prices". I sure hope no one throws a match near the propane tanks beautifully displayed out front.... that would be bad... very bad... anyone have a match?

Pageant Coordinator and Web designer Extrordinaire
Pam Burrus from Pilot Designs came to chat with us about her involvement in the Miss Noonan Now Pageant. Pam was currently blessed with the amazing job of whipping these contestants into shape and preparing them for the coveted title of Miss Noonan Now. She has recently put online voting on this website so that you can vote for your favorite contestant
(click here to vote). She also explained to our viewers what a MySpace account is and encouraged everyone to sign up and be a friend of Noonan Now. She also shared a little more about her web design business and shared some of the local Newnan businesses she has created websites for including Knox Furniture (www.knoxfurn.com) and Peanut Butter Kisses Boutique (www.peanutbutterkissesboutique.com).

Wash & Roll :
SERIOUS car washing!

Contestant #1... Lindsey Funk
Our first Miss Noonan Now contestant, Lindsey Funk, was on today for her on-air interview. She shared with us why she wanted to be Miss Noonan Now, how much she loves the show, where she found out about the pageant, etc. Online voting is now available for our contestants so visite the Miss Noonan Now page and vote for your favorite contestant!
